CUSTOM PICTURE FRAMING, rooted in connection & craft

Your ART leads the charge.

Preservation & presentation are guideposts as we follow the story your art has to tell.

DESIGN is a conversation.

Together, we’ll explore materials, colors, and proportions to create just the right balance.

The FRAME creates unity.

This custom-built archival home protects, elevates, and stands the test of time.

Framing Services

  • Looking for someone you can trust to handle your original artworks? We use acid-free materials, UV-filtering glazing products, and archival mounting practices.

  • Seeking something different? From classic to contemporary, in hardwood, acrylic, or steel, we have the style you’re looking for.

  • For your dimensional keepsakes (from baby shoes to wedding garments), choose from our selection of custom shadowboxes and acrylic display cases.

  • Documents & certificates, maps, newspaper articles, photographs, concert posters, kids’ art, and more… If it’s on paper, we can frame it for you.

  • Rolled up paintings or canvas prints still packed in mailing tubes? We can stretch your canvases so that they’re ready to hang or frame.

  • For canvases, paintings on panel, and aluminum prints, choose float frames for a clean, finished look that doesn’t cover even a smidge of your image.

I can also assist with your textiles & needlework, dry-mounting, matting, corporate projects, and more.

Have an idea that’s outside the box? Ask! I’d love to help you make it happen.

Meet the AmpersandMAKER

I’m Lauren Rosenthal McManus—artist, designer, and certified picture framer. My creative background shapes every detail of AmpersandMade, where thoughtful craftsmanship and approachable, collaborative design come together. Whether I’m working with fine art, heirlooms, or meaningful everyday objects, I’m guided by an artist’s eye and a commitment to preservation-grade quality.

In the studio, I take a conversational approach to framing: listening closely, refining options, and shaping designs that reflect your piece and your story. As a certified picture framer—an internationally recognized credential awarded only to those who meet the exacting standards maintained by the National Archives and the Library of Congress—I bring proven expertise to every project.

I also work with artisan frame makers across the country to source beautifully crafted mouldings and materials, ensuring each frame is both distinctive and built to last. The result is custom, archival framing that protects what matters and feels at home in any space—timeless, personal, and intentionally made.
